Dr. Natalie Tymkowych Says Goodbye to FCS

Since 2014, Dr. Natalie Tymkowych has called West Point home. “West Point was the perfect fit for me. This was my first placement after my residency,” said Tymkowych.
Now after three years, Dr. Tymkowych will be leaving Franciscan Care Services to move closer to her family in Rapid City, SD and will work start working at Sturgis Regional Hospital in Sturgis, SD.
“Part of my passion in medicine has been doing overseas medical work. This new opportunity gives me more time to dedicate to those trips,” Tymkowych said. “I will also be closer to my family out in the Black Hills.”
That doesn’t mean Dr. Tymkowych won’t miss the West Point community. Dr. Tymkowych says that is the hardest part about leaving.
“The community and hospital support I’ve experienced since I’ve been here has been amazing,” Tymkowych said. “West Point is truly a unique community that I will miss. Everyone at Franciscan Care Services is not only great to work with, but great people to be around. The friendships I’ve made here will continue after I leave,” she said.
Tymkowych also expressed her gratitude for the experience she’s gained while being at Franciscan Care Services.
“It’s a humbling experience to bring a new life into the world in the morning and then be present with a family when someone passes later on that afternoon,” Tymkowych said. “Being able to be a part of all of these life experiences is not something you get at every hospital.”
Dr. Tymkowych will be missed at Franciscan Care Services and is leaving with the support of those at the facility.
“We want to thank Dr. Tymkowych for three years of great service at Franciscan Care Services,” said Jerry Wordekemper, President/CEO of Franciscan Care Services. “We all wish her the best of luck in her next chapter.”
Dr. Natalie Tymkowych will be seeing patients until October 3, 2017.
“I just want to thank everyone who made West Point my home for the past three years,” Dr. Tymkowych said. “It has truly been great. I will definitely miss West Point.”
